The competition at Scale Model World 2018 contained something rather special, a scratch built 1/48 scale P.1a built by Nick Hooper.

Not strictly a post about our shows, but we've had a nice review in the Airfix Workbench Blog.
Our first Telford display felt like a second debut.
We display alongside our sister SIGs and Cleveland IPMS. Here are some pictures of the display. Thanks again to Trevor who brought along his 'air force' and all the other SIG members who added to the display. I think we can justifiably be proud of what we achieved.
We had every mark of lightning represented and one from every RAF squadron.

As a final thought, as a bit of a theme for next year, we have decided to dip our toes in the world of what-if. We are going to build lightning in schemes from the countries that evaluated but never ordered the Lightning.
